Foundation Paper Piecing is known and loved by quilters because of its accuracy and the ability to complete complicated designs.
This class is designed to teach you the skills/techniques to use in completing a foundation paper pieced project.
The class project uses a pre-printed pattern booklet by Along Came Emma. This means that you will not have to print paper piecing patterns before the class. You will be able to practice the paper piecing process throughout the whole class.
We will cover:
• determining the size of the fabric piece for each segment of the pattern
• tools that can make the process easier
• the steps to use to produce a successful 6 inch woven star block
• ideas for what to make with your completed blocks
The class is designed for those who have little or no experience using foundation paper piecing. It is also appropriate for students who wish to review and sharpen their paper piecing skills.
